The 2008 Rustic Art Show May 16-17

Open to Artists throughout Virginia, the Rustic Art Show is one-of-a-kind. From gourd art, natural fiber, basketry, pottery and wood crafting, this show will take you aback when you see what can be done with natural materials. Rustic is defined as “Simple and unsophisticated; pertaining to, or typical of country life.” Don’t miss this wonderful display! Admission is Free. Call for Entry form!
From Trash to Treasure
August 23
To accompany a month long exhibit of "recycle art", there will be 2 hour long workshops throughout the day: How to use materials around the house to make craft projects for children; What can you do with old glass?; a button workshop; a scrap metal demonstration; make paper mache; see what you can do with your old wool clothes and scraps of fabric and more. Beginning August 1, bring in your aluminum and ink cartridges for recycling. Bring in your newspapers and wool for recycling into something beautiful!
