You need to be comfortable casting on, binding off, knitting and purling.  The class will focus on learning increases, decreases and knitting on circular needles.  The class take home project will be a hat incorporating reading charts and learning simple cables.  You will need a size 8 circular needle that is 16 inches long and your yarn.
