Directions to the School
From Gloucester Court House take Route 14 East to Route 198. Turn right onto Route 198 to downtown Mathews. At the next STOP sign, (Hardees' intersection) turn right. The Bay School is on the left just after the Mathews Library. Look for the bright blue awning.

Mathews County is a lovely place to visit. We have many places to interest the history buff such as the New Point Lighthouse Reserve, Gwynn's Island Museum, Sally Thompkins' Cottage Museum, the Antioch Museum and the Mathews Visitors Center. There are also great places for fishing, kayaking, other water related fun, and of course beaches.
